GEORGETOWN, Texas —Schreiner Women’s Tennis racked up 15 overall wins this weekend at the ITA Regional in Georgetown.

Highlight performances came from junior Kelsey Buczkowski, senior Karyn Swink, juniors Alex Wheeler and Camila Anguiano, sophomore Sam Sterling and freshman Kara Miller.

Buczkowski won consolation in her draw by defeating opponents from TLU, UT-Tyler, UMHB, and Hardin-Simmons. Swink made the quarterfinals of consolation in her flight by defeating opponents from Austin College and SCAC powerhouse Trinity. Wheeler took out tough opponents from both Concordia and Southwestern to advance to the quarters of the consolation bracket in her flight as well.  Miller got two wins on day #1 against TLU and ETBU before having a freshman moment and letting a lead slip away against HSU in the 3rd round.

Anguiano faced a tough draw and played against a player from Hendrix in the opening round. She then rallied to win a tough three-setter against UMHB before falling to tough opponent from UT Tyler. Sterling also got a win in consolation in her draw, before falling to a top player from LeTourneau.
