There's been some grousing about the state of food in the greater Kerrville area. So, we wanted to find out if people are interested in other choices when it comes to buying groceries even if we really love "That Green Sauce" from H-E-B.

I will be hugely disappointed if our new HEB store is not equal to their fantastic new stores in major Texas cities. I’m aware of site acquisition difficulties but Kerrville has tolerated our “Model T” store far too long.

Having lived in San Antonio in the past, I’d have to say that I’d love to see a Central Market here, but I’m also sure that would never happen. Perhaps one will eventually open up in Boerne or Fredericksburg which would be a good alternative. The selection of meats, fish & produce at Central Market are beyond compare!

If there were to be another grocery store, I would prefer it to be a store comparable to what the larger more modern H.E.B. stores offer. Aldi, Trader Joe's, etc. are fine as supplements to the larger stores, but they are not an option when compared to a Kroger Flagship store or state of the art large H.E.B. store.
