On Monday, the Kerr County Commissioners Court voted unanimously to give small "longevity" raises to the county's elected officials, including themselves. The salaries boosted two of the commissioners by more than $1,000 per year. Each Commissioner earns more than $60,000 per year.

My research has a different conclusion. I'm showing that Precint #2 salary went up +$1216 for FY2021. While Precint #1 actually decreased by -$158 and Precinct #3 and Precinct #4 stayed the same. Did I make an error?

...so you think you earned a raise; interesting idea. I would be more inclined to say yes to a raise if I thought you were keeping our city as safe and healthy as possible BUT, you are the same county commissioners that agreed with Judge Kelly’s decision regarding the request to the governor to end wearing masks...even when Judge Kelly stated “I don’t know what herd immunity looks like, but I think we’re getting closer,” Kelly said, after hearing a presentation from Kerr County Emergency Management Coordinator William “Dub” Thomas. Oh my...let me think for a minute here...I’m going to have to say, “no”...I need more evidence of fact-gathering, thought provoking, higher level thinking responsinble decision-making.
