Elizabeth Olsen, middle, is Candy Montgomery in the HBO Max Original limited series, "Love and Death," scheduled to air next year. Production is underway in cities and towns throughout Central Texas.

Junction Highway at Harper Road will be closed intermittently from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday while a television crew is working.

“We advise drivers to avoid the intersection if at all possible, or expect significant delays,” reads a Tuesday statement from the Kerrville Police Department.

The TV series being filmed is “Love and Death,” which is based on events involving the death of Betty Gore, who was killed by her friend, Candy Montgomery, on June 13, 1980, in their hometown of Wylie. The series is inspired by the book “Evidence of Love: A True Story of Passion and Death in the Suburbs,” and a collection of articles from Texas Monthly.

The series stars Elizabeth Olsen as Montgomery. Nicole Kidman is one of the executive producers, according to a Warner Media press release.

Crews have filmed in Hutto, Lockhart and Kyle, according to an article at www.texashighways.com.

The series will air on HBO Max, which is Warner Media’s direct-to-consumer streaming platform that launched in the U.S. in May 2020.
