Colton Drake slides safely into home for an Antler run.

Believe or not, Tivy baseball lost to Harlandale during the first meeting on March 26. It’s true.

Friday’s contest was also a battle for second place in the district standings.

Both facts were hard to fathom on Friday, as the Antlers throttled Harlandale, 13-0, in five innings during their regular-season finale. The game was never close. Tivy scored six runs in the first and added four more in the second. Cole Miears led the Antlers (23-9, 12-4 District 26-5A) with three hits. Travis White and Colten Drake each had a triple.

Tivy senior Brady Delgado silenced Harlandale’s bats, limiting the Indians tothree hits in five scoreless innings.
