The new “Workforce High Density Housing” development concept known as Center Point Village has been proposed by Precinct 2 Commissioner Tom Moser and is supported by commissioners Jonathon Letz, Pct. 3, and Harley Belew, Pct. 1. There are many in Center Point, of whom I am one, who oppose the project concept.

To be clear, Center Point residents are not opposed to affordable workforce housing. What is of concern is the negative impact of this project concept’s type of development on the Center Point area: negative impact on water resources, stormwater drainage, the small town feel, substantially increased traffic and the strain on emergency services.
