A CAGED BIRD SINGS BECAUSE IT HAS A SONG. ... God delivered Polly Ann Collins to us on August 6, 1963, in Fort Worth, Texas. Her song began there with her parents, Howard and Roma Collins, and her sister, Carrie Collins, who survived her.
Polly died at her home in Kerrville on June 1, 2019, following a brief illness. Polly had a servant’s heart with a sweet and gentle spirit that touched so many from all walks of life. Some of her closest friends were the associate volunteers from St. Vincent de Paul.
She graduated from Tivy High School in 1981 and then earned undergraduate and graduate degrees from Southwest Texas State University.
The past eight years have been her most joyful, having met Mauricio Reyes, her friend, love and kindred spirit. Everywhere she went, happy bloomed.
We give thanks to God for Polly’s life and will be sustained by God’s promise that life with Him is eternal.
She met the end with courage and strong faith of what was to come ... a new song.
