Multiple speakers at Kerrville City Council meeting demand changes to book policies at library

The Kerrville City Council listens to several speakers who feel that the council has not done enough about the library book situation at the Butt-Holdsworth Memorial Library, and want books secured from children's eyes and withdrawal from the American Library Association.

Multiple speakers addressed the continuing question of books not suitable for children at the Butt-Holdsworth Memorial Library on Tuesday during open comment at the Kerrville City Council meeting. A call for action was made by several speakers, directly addressed to various members of the city council.

The council was accused of being complicit in allowing minors access to pornographic materials and were told that a criminal investigation had been filed with the police department as of Thursday, Oct. 20.
