The Salvation Army of Kerrville wants to alleviate the stress that can be associated with going back to school for many area families.
Throughout the summer, the nonprofit will host a back-to-school drive, giving families school supplies at no cost.
To qualify, children must be enrolled in a Kerr County school and be entering pre-kindergarten through 12th grade.
Registration begins June 24 and will end June 28.
To register, a parent or guardian will need to bring photo identification, proof of address, proof of Kerr County residence, current SNAP letter and proof of enrollment in school. Proof of school enrollment can be provided with last report card or confirmation of enrollment in a Kerr County school.
Anyone wanting to help by adopting a family can visit the Kroc Center, 201 Holdsworth Drive.
