Warm and humid weather conditions are in the forecast across the area today and Friday.

A few showers and thunderstorms are possible today, but the weather pattern should become hot and dry as we head into the weekend.

Expect low clouds early this morning with a few showers and storms possible. This risk continues during the day. If storms develop, they may become severe with large hail and wind gusts to 70 mph. Highs warm to near 90 degrees.

A weak frontal boundary should bring us partly cloudy skies.  Lows drop into the 60s. Patchy fog and haze will develop overnight. Light and variable winds prevail.

Friday brings ample amounts of sunshine and much warmer daytime highs in the lower to middle 90s. Winds become northwest during the day.

Highs in the 90s are expected through the weekend.
