With funds from the Texas Association of Counties Risk Management Pool, Kerr County now has new safety equipment for government employees who are routinely exposed to risks while on the job, such as road construction crews or law enforcement.

Equipment made available free to Kerr County includes that worn for personal protection, such as high heat gear, hard hats, gloves and ear, eye and respiratory protection items. It also includes items such as courthouse security devices, fire protection and tactical gear worn by the county’s law enforcement officers.

The association’s 2019 Employee Safety Equipment Program made the funds available to Kerr County. This program is one of many services and programs dedicated to minimizing risks to county employees across much of Texas.

Kerr County’s membership in the association also provides it with competitively priced risk management coverage and risk control services that are specific to county governmental entities.
