Power outages, impassable roads and a lack of accommodations have had some Kerrville visitors, residents and homeless looking for a warm place to stay and something to eat. The Salvation Army and Calvary Temple Church opened their doors and kitchens to those in need over the last few days.

The cold weather shelter at Salvation Army began Thursday.
