Medina senior accepts Joshua Tyree Williams Scholarship

MEDINA —  Alexis Carr, a senior at Medina High School, has been awarded a $1,000 scholarship from the Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country. Established for students who have participated in Big Brothers-Big Sisters or are residents of Arms of Hope in Medina, a children’s home, the scholarship honors a local student Joshua Tyree Williams, who died in 2008 at the age of 15.
