No one wants to see a tragedy play out in their children’s school as it has so many times across the country. School districts and police departments have studied ways to make the schools safer for students, and much of that thinking has been integrated into the new Hal Peterson Middle School, opening Aug. 16, along with all of the Kerrville schools.
