Ingram Elementary School teachers rush to keep the rubber ducks in check before the derby starts. The Second Annual Ingram Duck Derby took place Friday, April 22 on the bank of the Guadalupe River adjacent to the Hill Country Art Foundation grounds, 120 Point Theatre Rd., Ingram.

Ingram teachers waded into the water of the Guadalupe River to wrangle rubber ducks during the Second Annual Ingram Duck Derby fundraiser HOSTED by the Ingram Elementary School Parent-Teacher Organization. The event raised more than $31,000 to rebuild and upgrade the playground at the elementary school.

In a preliminary race before the main event, Ingram teachers paddle down the Guadalupe River on the back of huge inflatable ducks, to the delight of their students in the audience. Nearly 8,000 rubber ducks were sold by the Ingram Elementary School Parent-Teacher Organization for the fundraiser, collecting more than $31,000 for playground equipment.

Several hundred people attended the festivities at the Second Annual Ingram Duck Derby, Friday, April 22. Most of the audience was made up of students, teachers and parents from the Ingram School district. With more than 7,500 ducks sold before the race, the event raised $31,000 for playground equipment for the Ingram Elementary School.
