The New Testament in the Bible is a treasure trove of Jesus’ birth, life, teachings, death and resurrection, and his assurance of his love and care for his people. All this and more is recorded in the four Gospel writings of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, and includes roughly half of the New Testament.

The rest of the New Testament contains, in addition to the beginnings of the church, the letters of Paul and others to the members and friends of this new and growing phenomenon, the church.
