Play about Hank Williams on tap
A musical play about the life of Hank Williams will be on stage in Bulverde next month.
“Hank Williams: Lost Highway” follows his rise from his beginnings on the Louisiana Hayride, to his triumphs on the Grand Ole Opry, to his eventual self-destruction at age 29.
The play is set for 8 p.m. Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from July 11 to 28 at Krause House Theatre, 1300 Bulverde Road. Tickets are $20 for adults, $17 for veterans and people ages 62 and older. An optional dinner will be served at 6:30 p.m. Sunday matinees are at 4 p.m. and include dessert only.

Dive-in movie slated July 5
A free dive-in movie is slated for Friday, July 5, in Kerrville.
The event, organized by the city of Kerrville and sponsored by the Cailloux Foundation, will start at 9 p.m. or dark at the Olympic Pool, 601 Olympic Drive.
The movie will be “Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation,” which is rated PG. Attendees are encouraged to bring clear inner tubes and towels.
Music, fireworks slated at park
Free, daylong festivities will be on tap in Louise Hays Park on July 4.
Vendors open at 2 p.m., and concerts begin at 4 p.m. Headliner Robert Earl Keen and Tyler Childers perform at 7 p.m. followed by fireworks at 9:30 p.m.
