Last week, I wrote about a scrapbook kept by Lillian Sutton when she was a senior at Tivy High School; she was the valedictorian of the class of 1916.

At the turn of the last century, and before high school yearbooks were common, it was popular for young women to keep a scrapbook of their senior year. Hardcover books were published just for this, with page headings such as “Class Motto” and “Class Photographs.”
