Donnie G. Mize
HUNT — Donnie G. Mize, 64, passed away on Sunday, Sept. 13, 2009, at the local hospital. He was born on Aug. 6, 1945, in Iredell, Texas, to Oscar and Wille Mize. Donnie served in the U.S. Army from 1966 until 1968 during Vietnam. He loved to fish, invent things and he wrote a few books, “Out Of the Horses Mouth,” and a few more. Donnie was a member of the Iredell Baptist Church and the VFW, he had lived in Hunt for five years. He was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers. Donnie is survived by his wife, Nancy Mize of Hunt, Texas; two sons, Jonathan Mize and wife, Julissa, of Irving, Texas, and Justin Mize and wife, Jodi, of Midland, Texas; daughter, Jordan Mize of Pleasanton, Texas; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and many other family members and friends who love him will miss him. Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2009, at Mitchell Cemetery in Iredell, Texas, with military honors.
