Coralyn Daniel (C.D.) Reese
SAN ANTONIO — Coralyn Daniel (C.D.) Reese passed away on May 18, 2009, bringing much sorrow to his family and friends.
He was born in Shore Creek Community in Wheeler County, Texas, on Jan. 26, 1921. A man of great integrity, he was a former Head Elder at Woodlawn Christian Church, and strong supporter of Kerrville First Christian Church and Center Point Christian Church. He was married to Doris Inez King, deceased, for 61 years, and they were blessed with two daughters, Inez Couch and Marilyn Mathis.
C.D. served in the U.S. Navy and retired from the Civil Service at Kelly AFB. He and his wife enjoyed great camaraderie with their Holiday Rambler trailer club friends when traveling throughout the U.S. and Canada.
In addition to his two daughters and their husbands, Bill Couch and James V. Brigman, he is survived by two granddaughters, Celeste Werkheiser and husband, Jeff, and Judy Couch; great-grandchildren, April and Joshua Homesly; many nieces and nephews; dear sisters-in-law, Eva Massey and Julia Tomfohr and husband, LeRoy.
While he was a guiding light to his family and friends, we return him for his much deserved rest with our Lord. Memorial services will be held at noon on Saturday, May 30, 2009, at Sunset Funeral Home. Inurnment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
