Delton Caroll Wilson
KERRVILLE — Delton Caroll Wilson, 70, of Kerrville, passed away Thursday, Aug. 6, 2009, in a local hospital. He was born April 1, 1939, in Kerrville to Dell and Pearl (Oatman) Wilson. On Nov. 28, 1959, he married Elva Mae Dittmar in Harper. Delton served in the United States Air Force from 1957 to 1961, was a rancher and a member of St. James Lutheran Church of Harper. Survivors include his wife, Elva Wilson of Kerrville; daughter, Deborah Carol Wilson of New Braunfels; sons, David Craig Wilson and wife, Trisha, of Kerrville and Donald Preston Wilson and wife, Tina, of Fromberg, Mont.; grandchildren, Devin Wilson of Brady, Whitney Wilson of Denton, Dillon Wilson of Cisco and Gabriel Wilson of Fromberg, Mont. Visitation was Friday, Aug. 7, 2009, from 6 to 8 p.m., at Grimes Funeral Chapels. Services will be Saturday, Aug. 8, 2009, at 2 p.m., at Grimes Funeral Chapels, officiated by Scott Hofmann and Willfred Biggot. Interment will follow in Harper City Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Trey Dendy, Scott Eckermann, Larry Maulden, Jordan Reed, Russell Rogers, Howard Wilson, Reagan Reed and Martin Fielder. Honorary pallbearers will be Bill Dendy, Dennis Lange, Jim McMahon and Wayne Rogers. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. James Lutheran Church of Harper, Harper School Library or to the Harper Boy Scout Troop No. 139.
