HARPER — The legend of the 2013 Comfort Bobcats Track team keeps growing. Like General Patton marching through Sicily, the ’Cats have marched into every meet this year with conquest on their mind. They marched into Harper and scored points in all but one event — conquering many of them. At the end of the night, the Cats accumulated 161 points — some 70 more than Ingram — for their third consecutive meet victory.
The Cats amassed 65 points in the field events, scoring in every one of them and winning three of the six. Chance Rieken set a Harper Longhorn Relay record in the Shot Put with a heave of 51 feet, Connor Thayn won the Triple Jump with a leap of 42 feet, 9 inches and Robert Tolar took the Long Jump at 20 feet, 10.5 inches.
