When the Tivy girls faced Seguin on Nov. 27 at Antler gym, the Lady Antlers were never threatened, eventually winning by 40.

Not much changed when the teams met again on Tuesday. only this time, there was more scoring, with the Lady Antlers rolling to a 76-37 victory over the Lady Matadors on the road. No. 4 Tivy (25-1, 9-0 District 26-5A) trounced Seguin, 57-17 during the first meeting.

The two games against Seguin shared another similarity: In both games, the outcome was never really in question. On Tuesday, the Lady Antlers rode their full court press to a 29-8 lead after the first quarter. They led 47-16 at halftime.

“Our press did a great job for us tonight,” Tivy coach Christy Dill said. “We got some good traps and got some good steals that led to some transition layups.”

Audrey Robertson led the Lady Antlers with 18 points, marking the third straight game she’s scored in double figures. Charlie Becker drained 12 points. Peyton Ives chipped in 10. Catherine Kaiser and Haylee Hamilton both contributed eight points. Katie Harmon added seven points.

The Lady Antlers will try to win their 20th consecutive game when they host McCollum on Friday. They won the first meeting, 57-25.

“A big worry of mine was whether they were going to keep the intensity level up,” Dill said. “But they are showing up and doing what needs to be done to get some wins.”

Do the city's signage and billboard regulations need an update?

Signage has been a hot topic for discussion in our comment sections of late, with multiple variance requests going before the city's Planning and Zoning Commission regarding various signs, both digital and otherwise. Should the city update its rules regarding signs — how big, where, how many, etc. — or should the rules remain as they are?
