The Kerr County unit of the Texas Retired Teachers Foundation raised and donated $1,000 to the Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund.

“The funds will aid teachers who lost so much in the hurricane that struck the Texas coast,” a spokesman for the TRTF said.

The TRTF works to help all school employees through grants, assistance with unexpected financial crisis and, this year, through the Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund.

The local group, the Hill Country Retired School Employees Association, meets on the third Monday of each month at Trinity Baptist Church.

All retired school employees are welcome to attend. For information, contact Jane Pickett at 936-443-5848 or by email to hcrsea@gmail.com.
