Patient reportedly assaults state hospital employee

Officers responded to an assault call at the Kerrville State Hospital at 721 Thompson Drive at 12:02 p.m. Wednesday.

When officers arrived, a female employee told the police that she had been assaulted by a patient. The employee was near the patient when the patient became upset and struck her repeatedly with a food tray over her body, she said.
